The Center for Distance Education and Testing is one of the structural units of the university and operates within the Department of Innovation, Digitalization, and International Relations.

The legal basis for the center's activities is formed by the Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Education," "State Educational Standard for Higher Professional Education of the Republic of Tajikistan," "Concept for the Development of Professional Education in the Republic of Tajikistan," "Model Regulations for Higher Educational Institutions," "National Education Concept of the Republic of Tajikistan," as well as other regulatory legal acts of higher educational institutions, orders and letters from the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, the "Charter of the Institute of Technology and Innovation Management in Kulob," decisions of the Academic Council, orders and instructions of the rector, the vice-rector for academic affairs, and the regulations of the Center for Distance Education and Testing and the information system of the credit-based education system.

The activities of the Center for Distance Education and Testing are aimed at solving the following tasks:

  • Creating a database of test questions for student admissions and implementing quality education monitoring through examinations (distance and final exams);
  • Improving test questions (test assignments) and conducting exams using modern methods (information technology);
  • Organizing seminars and training sessions for teachers to address issues in developing test questions (test assignments) and analyzing exam results;
  • Implementing the testing system in higher education institutions;
  • Preparing instructional and methodological materials for conducting exams using modern information technology;
  • Implementing test-based examinations in the learning process to monitor students' academic achievements (distance and final assessments) and external control (final control);
  • Creating a database of testing programs;
  • Ensuring unified access to all information resources in accordance with competence requirements;
  • Providing methodological assistance to teachers in developing an assessment system that reflects students' actual knowledge levels;
  • Conducting technical analysis of students' distance and final exam results.
