The Faculty of Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence was established in September 2022 on the basis of the Faculty of Economics and Information Technologies by merging some specialties from the Tajik-Russian University (prospective technologies based on science) and opening new specialties.
Currently, the faculty structure includes 2 specialized departments — Economics, Programming, Artificial Intelligence, and Higher Mathematics, as well as 1 general science department — Humanities and Languages. The faculty trains specialists in the following fields:

1-40030102 — "Artificial Intelligence."
The faculty also offers master's programs in the following specialties:

1-400101 — "Software for Information Technologies."
The faculty has 340 full-time students and 358 part-time students. Currently, 29 master's students are enrolled at the faculty.
Over the past five years (from 2017 to 2022), the number of faculty members with academic degrees has steadily increased, and faculty members have defended their dissertations on various topics. The faculty employs 24 teachers with academic degrees, including 3 Doctors of Science and Professors. In total, 109 people work at the faculty.
Student internships are conducted at leading financial enterprises in the region — the Financial Department of the city and region of Kulob, the branch of the National Bank of Tajikistan in Kulob, the branch of "Amonatbank" in the Kulob region and city, and other institutions.
The faculty's teaching staff has published more than 10 monographs and 350 scientific articles. Faculty members conduct research on the country's strategic goals: "Ensuring Energy Independence," "Overcoming Communication Limitations," "Ensuring Food Security," and "Rapid Industrialization of the Country," making a significant contribution to economic development.
Since the establishment of the Faculty of Economics and Information Technologies, and later the Faculty of Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence, more than 2,000 specialists in economics and programming have been trained. These graduates now work in the country's economy and abroad and take pride in their faculty.
In training specialists and young scientists, the faculty has established scientific and practical cooperation with the North Caucasus Federal University, the University of Primorska in Slovenia, the Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy, and the Transilvania University of Brașov in Romania.
The scientific works of the faculty members are published in specialized journals of the Russian Federation, such as "Economics and Entrepreneurship," "Science and Technology," as well as in republican publications, such as "Information of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan," "Reports of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan," "Bulletin of the Tajik National University," "Bulletin of the Polytechnic University," "Public Administration," the scientific-political journal of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and other recognized scientific publications.
